Information We Collect

When you create an account and use Investo, we collect the following information:

• Account information: Your name, email address, and password (stored securely via Firebase Authentication)
• Profile data: Username, XP points, level, completed lessons, and learning progress
• Usage data: Lessons viewed, quiz results, flashcard sessions, streak data, and in-app activity
• Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for diagnostics
• Purchase information: Subscription status (we do not store your payment details — all billing is handled by Apple)

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and personalize your learning experience in the App
• Track your progress, XP, levels, and lesson completion
• Maintain your account and restore data across devices
• Improve the App through aggregated, anonymized analytics
• Send important account-related communications (not marketing spam)
• Provide customer support when you contact us

Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted third-party services to operate the App:

• Firebase (Google LLC): Authentication, cloud database (Firestore), and analytics. Firebase processes data on our behalf under Google’s data processing terms. Learn more at firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• Apple StoreKit: All subscription payments are processed by Apple. We never receive or store your credit card or payment information.
• OpenAI: The AI chat feature sends your questions to OpenAI’s API to generate responses. We do not send personally identifiable information with these requests.

Children’s Privacy

Investo is designed for users ages 8 and older. We take children’s privacy seriously. If a user is under 13, we require parental consent and encourage parents to supervise their child’s use of the App. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13 without consent, please contact us immediately at sasikumark@bentonvillek12.org and we will delete it promptly.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of non-essential communications

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), Firebase’s built-in security rules, and secure authentication. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Subscriptions & Billing

Investo offers a free tier and an optional Investo Premium subscription at $9.99/month. All billing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never process or store your payment information. To manage or cancel your subscription, go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
